History of the Internet
The beginning of the Cold War started a massive revolution to revamp communications. At this point the only way to really communicate was by telephone or Morse Code, this was about to change drastically over the next 20-30 years with the invention of the computer. The soviets had the upper hand for a number of years but with the invention of hot potato routing and sending small packets through the infrastructure, Americans were able to develop the first email system in 1969. This was begun by stationing 4 massive computers along the west coast and into Utah. They were able not only to communicate with each other but also send information to each other.

Super Typhoon Haiyan
This week one of the largest typhoons of this season, let alone of all time. It unleashed ridiculous amounts of rain on already shaken up areas. Some had already experienced a 7.2 magnitude earthquake. It has flooded most of the coastal cities, and it has uprooted an innumerable amount of trees. It has destroyed numerous houses, and it has cut power to millions of people. Though many areas have been devastated, the death toll is exceedingly low- 3 deaths. Many of the areas affected were on low tide which did not allow the storm surge to reach its full potential. This typhoon was the largest tropical cyclone to make landfall anywhere in the world. Haiyan is expected to exit the Philippines by the end of Friday, chug across the South China Sea, regain strength, and then slam into Vietnam as a category 4 typhoon. All of its winds were on the top end of the Saffir-Simpson Scale for a category 5 hurricane with winds upwards of 175 miles per hour.

Top 50 stat leaders in TN
This past week the Jackson sun has released to top 50 stat leaders for TN. The top 7 all have at least 1000 yards rushing, and the leader is Keyon Crisp for Bolivar. He has rushed for over 1600 yards on 239 carries with 18 TD's Our very own Andrew Goldsmith has rushed for over 700 yards on 75 carries with 7 TD's. James Bond also rushes for Trinity, and he has rushed 74 times for 463 yards and 6 TD's. We hope they plans to extend these stats this Friday against Riverside. Kyle Akin is the only passer in West TN to have over 2000 yards passing, he also has over a 63% completion percentage. 28 TD's and only 5 Int accompany his other incredible stats. Our very own Trinity receivers dot the receiving stat page in many areas. Eli Parker has 41 receptions for 689 yards and 7 TD's. Chase Diggs is just a few slots down with 34 receptions for 567 yards and 7 TD's. Also on the list is Grant Reviere. He has 31 receptions for 405 yards and 6 TD's. To round out the Trinity receivers on this list is Ryan Smith. He ha 14 receptions for 184 yards and 3 TD's. As you can see the Trinity Lions are a formidable force on offense. They have 2 of the top rushers per carry in the state and the top passer. 4 of Trinity's receivers (albeit Landon Ross is not on there) also made the list.

Can the YOLO Bypass floodplain be used to nurture salmon?
The Sacramento River runs high after a large rain storm, but in most years it has quickly drained away. Taking many salmon with it. But what if the floodplain was kept flooded for longer periods of time during the migratory salmon season. This past February researchers released thousands of juvenile salmon into a few rice fields being used as a bypass. The results were that the salmon had excellent growth and survival rates, and they posted the greatest grwoth rate in california history. Next year, they will let the fish swim freely instead of being in large pens. This will mimick more natural conditions. This experiment has shown that rice fields can be used as salmon sanctuaries during the spring and fall seasons. This will mean during more high flow period flooding times that the water will be retained longer. On average from three to six weeks. The YOLO floodplain is the largest floodplain left in the area.

TCA vs. JCM
Tonight is night of nights, TCA (5-0) faces off against JCM (3-2) at Rothrock Stadium for an epic showdown. JCM is the most athletic team the Lions have faced this year, and JCM has at least 4 effective ball carriers. TCA welcomes the return of Lucas Rogers, a very effective linebacker. He will be a key point in stopping JCM's run game tonight. Kyle Akin wil of course put on a show in some way as he runs the Trinity offense flawlessly.

Plagiarism Q & A
How would you respond if you were convicted of plairgarism?
I would accept my fate, and take the punishment. I would also be quite embarrassed because it would taint my reputation in the eyes of others.
How would your parents respond?
Obviously, they would be upset with my lack of correct judgement, but they would also take away many things i hold dear. They would also not be as willing to trust me as they would have before.
Do you feel as if you deserve a passing grade because your parents pay tuition?
No, they are trying to give me the best education they can, and I should always do my best even if it is a difficult task. It is not the teachers fault that I would plairgarize a document, but it is solely mine.
Does this story affect your view of plairgarism?
No.
What do you take away from this narrative?
Nothing that I already knew before hand. When things get posted on the internet, everyone can see who you are and what you've done. This in turn results in certain bosses not hiring you and a tainted reputation.

Ethics of GTA V: How Ironic
Is Play Endorsement?
I am indifferent with what goes on in the game. It is not affecting you if you consciously make the decision to file this away as fake. Yes, it may be immoral in many ways but, are you affecting others around you? I say No. I do endorse this game in the context that I have stated before hand. To take this out of context and put this on a pedostal in your life is wrong.
What do you get from playing?
When i play the game I do not like the all of the killing, stealing, and destroying, but I do it to unlock other items. These help me with my quests into the wilderness of Los Santos. I prefer hunting game in the mountains, or base jumping from the top of Mount Chiliad. There are tranquil things in this game, but they are disguised in chaos.
Who else in your life is playing this game?
Nearly every male in my grade has this game, or they are on the verge of purchasing it. I mainly have it for the social experience of multiplayer, and to mess around with other people. It may be the most free and social game there is to play in terms of fun.
Do you know when to quit?
Yes i do. When i have somewhere to go or someone to meet, I choose that over this game. Especially when my parent need me to do something. I may be upset, but I do comply with the rules my parents have set before me. But when I have a chunk of time with nothing to do, I will play this game.
Should Christians who are indwelt with the Lord Jesus Christ have moral issues with killing people in a virtual world?
No, if you make a conscious decision to keep whats in the game, in the game; it is acceptable in regulated amounts.

iPhone 5S
Apple has announced their new iPhone, the iPhone 5S. It is not entirely new because certain features have been retained such as, the 4 inch display and most of the cosmetics. But, it has an all new processor, A7, a new fingerprint scanner, new colors, ios 7 of course, etc. Apple has really pulled out all of the stops for this one. The new processor is twice as fast as the previous by using 64-bit architecture, and this will speed up every aspect of the device. The fingerprint scanner will be used to unlock the phone as well as identification to make iTunes/App store purchases. The new colors include space grey ( with black trim), silver ( with white trim), gold (with white trim).

Nasa Retires Kepler
Today in the news Nasa reported they are retiring Kepler. A massive planet hunting telescope used to help aid in the search of possible life bearing planets. This telescope has been damaged and cannot be maneuvered well because of its damaged wheels. Sadly this will merit less funding to the project. This will slow the hunt for possible planets with life.
RGIII Makes Start After Knee Reconstuction
Monday night RGIII will make his season debut, coming off of reconstuctive knee surgery, against the reinvented Philadelphia Eagles. He will obviously not be running the ball nearly as much as last year, and he will have to slide instead of taking it to the house. Although his arm will still pack the same lethal punch as it did last year. The Redskins running game will have step up with Alfred Morris running the ball as hard as ever. The Redskins offensive coordinator can not be as creative as he was last year because of RGIII decreased ability to extend and even create plays out of nothing. I look forward to watching this game Monday night.

Tebow on the sidelines once again.
On thursday, the Patriots played the Detroit Lions in a preseason game while Tim Tebow sadly sat on the sidelines. Even though the Lions fans wanted to see Tim play with ten minutes left, Belichick refused. The fans were chanting furiously to see the young and underappreciated left hander play. Yet, in true Tebow style, he always looks at the bright side, saying he is a blessed individual because he is able to play with the Patriots.
In my mind, just give the guy a chance. No, he is not the best quarterback to grace the game, but he is a winner. He does anything he can to win, when he was with the Broncos he used his legs as or more effectively than his arm, Even when there was more than one reciever open. With the way his luck is going, he may as well convert to tight end because the Pats sure do need some, or we may never see his name in football again.
